I am often reminded of how dependent I am on God when I have to take that “one moment at a time” before I hear the next instruction to move forward. Sometimes, things can seem so overwhelming when our focus goes onto the so-called “circumstances or situation” set before us, rather than the “Provider” over all of them. My desire is to always keep things in the right perspective and look at the One vs the obstacle in front of me. Let’s face it though, it’s not always that easy.
It’s so much like Joshua when stepping into the Jordan to TAKE the promised land. The trust he had in the Lord for each directive when leading the Israelite’s must have been so difficult at times, especially when you are running alongside a few 1,000 people. Nevertheless, he trusted God at every moment and in every directive, he was given.
Over the years you learn to lean, and pretty much rely primarily on the Lord because realistically there is no other option. I love being led by the Holy Spirit every step of the way, even when I don’t know where He will lead me. I can TRUST that He will, in fact, lead me to good things, life-changing and prosperous places because it is God’s nature. He only wants good things for us!!!
Joshua 3:4-5 says “Then you will know which way to go since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about two thousand cubits between you and the ark: do not go near it.” Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”
Wherever you are in your faith journey, remember there is ONE who has literally gone before you and ONE who really does have all the answers you will ever need. He knows how difficult, joyful, scary, but most importantly He knows who you are becoming once you have moved forward with courage, boldness, and faith. You are walking in the fullness of who He has created you to be and how he actually sees you. He loves you so much, that He sent His Son to die, be buried and rise again so you can really live with Him for all eternity.
Be strengthened in Him today and know that with Him ALL things really are possible. Every mountain can be moved with the faith of a mustard seed. So, choose faith and remember, you really can DO all things through Christ who gives you strength! Stand, and when you feel weary, stand some more!
